Hello,
Thank you for contacting Support.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Recently we have had a lot of members from Asia having issues connecting to their site and accessing their emails. We believe that the problem can be found within the main internet servers over in Asia. If you go to http://www.internettrafficreport.com/asia.htm you will see a report of the internet backbone in Asia.
The main thing you should look at is the ‘Packet Loss’ column. If there is even a small percentage of package loss on a server that could possibly be in between they and our servers, which are located in Massachusetts, USA. This will cause for the page not to load fully, thus causing a timeout error or while receiving emails.
You can also run a ‘tracert’. What this will do is show you the path you are taking to get to our servers. The way to do this is, go to the ‘Start’ menu, ‘Run’, the type ‘cmd’ or ‘command’. This will open up a DOS window. In the window you are required to type the following: tracert laoweibiz.ipage.com, after you do this. You should contact your Internet Service Provider if there is a time out or delayed request.
Unfortunately, I fear that your issues are related with well publicized issues of blocking by ‘The Great Firewall of China’.
I wish that I could tell you that we have a solution for you, but unfortunately, as I understand it, this isn’t an issue with iPage, but rather the Chinese system over there.
Also, it is not possible to move your hosting account to another server.
If you have any further questions, please update the Support Console.

Hello,
Thank you for your patience. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. The IP range which we provide on our shared hosting starts with 66.96.147. It appears that China blocked our IP range 66.96.147. However, it is not possible to assign separate IP address for your account.
If you have any further questions, please update the Support Console.
Sincerely,

Technical Specialist!
Hello,
Thank you for contacting support.
Although we don’t sell dedicated IP’s for accounts there is a work-around that will allow you to get one. When you purchase a dedicated SSL certificate this has to be installed to a specific domain/IP, so purchasing a dedicated SSL for the site would give you an IP that will remain the same.
http://www.ipage.com/product/ssl_certificate.bml
Another option would be a VPS account as these will come with one dedicated IP. We don’t yet offer VPS accounts at ipage but can recommend http://vpslink.com as an un-managed VPS host (note: as their VPS accounts are self-managed it’s recommended to be familiar with administrating a linux server through command line or to have a webmaster to mange the server for you).
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, if you have any further questions feel free to reply to this ticket or contact phone support anytime.

Tier 2 Support!
