随着IPv4地址的耗尽，各个主机商的IP地址要么涨价，要么提高了购买的门槛，要么两个都有。HawkHost老鹰主机也不例外。

应该是早在去年，老鹰主机就对IP地址的购买做了比较严格的限制。还记得最开始的那几年，老鹰主机的IP地址是可以随着购买主机一起购买的，在购买过程中有一个选项就是购买独立IP，可以看看北山以前的文章《美国HawkHost老鹰主机购买教程(图解)》中的截图，后来这个选项就没有了，再后来IP地址就涨价了，购买的条件就更严格了。

在论坛看帖子的时候，发现了两个老鹰主机的用户关于购买独立IP不愉快的帖子，一个在这里，另一个在这里。其中一个还是使用了老鹰主机好几年的用户。但是在IP地址使用了，老鹰主机需要执行ARIN的规定，不会因为是老用户而改变。

老鹰主机在他们的服务条款http://www.hawkhost.com/Legal/tos#ipaddress里也写到了:

Hawk Host’s allocation of IP addresses is limited by ARIN’s new policies. These new policies state that use of IP addresses for IP based virtual hosts will not be accepted as justification for new IP addresses.

另外在独立IP介绍http://www.hawkhost.com/Hosting/features#dedicatedip中明确写了购买独立IP的条件：

Having a dedicated IP allows your site to have its own unique IP address. It is required when using private SSL (used when processing credit cards, E-Commerce, etc). We require valid justification for all dedicated IP addresses before they are issued. The only valid justification is private SSL which we will require the certificate to be provided before the IP address will be issued.

购买独立IP地址的条件就是网站要SSL证书。 打算购买老鹰主机，而且还想购买独立IP地址的朋友需要有所准备了。
